European School has been awarded with the license to hold a TEDx youth event. The TEDx conference which consists of two pre-recorded talks and nine short presentations by inspiring young people with something new to say will be held on 24th of May in the Main Hall of the European School at 15:00.

Tuesday 21st May - Grade 5 PYP Science Fair
13:15 to 14:30 in main hall. Donation required for entry. All donations go to Rural Child Education Development Programme which aims to build schools and a 21st Century education for poor kid in rural areas.
Be there and see our video and then take part in some science investigations. All investigations are designed for use in village settings to make science come alive for kids in villages.

On 14th -15th of May European School celebrates Europe Day.
The conference "It's About Europe, It's About You", photo exhibition and exhibition of paintings on the theme "Georgia- European Country" and several presentations about the European countries will be arranged at the International Section of the European School.

International Young Inventors’ Project Olympiad
On 25th-27th of April the 7th International Young Inventors’ Project Olympiad was held in Tbilisi. 125 projects of mathematics, engineering, information technologies, chemistry, biology and physics were presented during the competition by 272 students from 27 countries . In Information technologies the gold medal winners are the students of MYP G10 of the European School - Sandro Akhvlediani and Omar Vardzelashvili( supervisor Shorena Abesadze).We congratulate the students and the supervisor and wish them success in future!

Congratulations!
The chemistry teacher Shorena Samakashvili was attending the 18th Latin-American Symposium “LACE 2012” in Buenos Aires , Argentina. She was awarded with the special prize for the best presentation about her innovative analytical research. The prize was sponsored by the scientific journal “Analytical and Biomedical Chemistry”. Shorena wil be able to choose and get as a present books valued 200 euros published by Springer.
We congratulate Shorena and wish her future professional success.

Visit of Professor Delvin Harnish at the European School
On November 17, 2012 Fulbright Scholar at University of Lincoln, Professor Delwyn L. Harnish (College of Education and Human Sciences, University of Nebraska-Lincoln) visited European School and delivered the lecture about AP exams, American educational system and University admission process.
The meeting was organized by American Education Department at European School.
The main focus of the speech was AP and its role in admission process. The lecture gained high esteem of the students.
